Flights

The local airport at Bari, is served via Stanstead, Gatwick and Heathrow airports in the UK. Ryanair, BA and Alitalia have regular daily flights to Bari.

Car Hire.

A hire car is certainly a very useful, if not an absolutely essential part of a trip to Basilicata. There are around 12 car hire companies at Bari Airport to choose from.

The car hire cost (as always) depends on the time of year. You can, for example, get a 4 door with air con (space for 4 adults plus baggage) for a week from anything between £60 - £100. This can also be booked through the UK via the companies below.

You can also jump onto the Ryanair web site and follow their link through to Hertz. With this, you will get an immediate quote (for the dates that you are thinking of) and then have at least some idea of what it will cost, before you then contact the other companies either in the UK or at Bari.
